The intention was to create an organization serving the book publishing community and its relationship with the reading public, with an emphasis on promoting reading across all formats. It was envisioned that this entity would be operated as a tax exempt organization and, recently, it has achieved tax exempt status.
NYBF has plans to reach out to a broad spectrum of the book publishing world through an email campaign to solicit memberships and donations. At the moment, you can reach out to any of the Board members to receive more info. We hope you do!

The entire NYBFI is comprised of interested volunteers who work to support our mission statement. We have several committees currently: Program, Literacy, Book Show, Education, and Communications.
