Once again, NYBF will be collecting books for Care for the Homeless, which provides quality healthcare, human services, and shelter to families and individuals experiencing homelessness in NYC. There are an estimated 30,000 children in the NYC shelter system and at a time that is supposed to be filled with joy and festive gatherings, this is a staggering number of children who are facing the holidays with uncertainty. We hope you will consider bringing a children’s book (perhaps two or three) with you and help make the holidays a little brighter for children who will be spending this season in shelters, and not in the comfort of home. Thank you!!
(Note: Care for the Homless also needs adult books, so please feel free to donate those as well!)
